Smart Choice announced the acquisition of Tennessee-based Carriage Hill Insurance and three key leadership appointments to Smart Choice Partners (SCP). SCP will identify acquisition opportunities that complement Smart Choice's existing network of over 9,500 independent institutions.
Carriage Hill is a $4 million multi-office agency with offices in Lenoir City, Brentwood, Oak Ridge and Athens, Tennessee. The Carriage Hill deal was Smart Choice's 22nd agency acquisition since the SCP program launched in 2019.
Smart Choice acquired Carriage Hill because of a decade of partnership with the company, Carriage Hill's significant growth, and the opportunity to hire Carriage Hill's management team to lead the SCP program. Carriage Hill owner Todd Henderson (pictured above left) has been appointed SCP President. Chase Scott (pictured above center) was appointed Chief of Operations, and his current SCP executive Jeff Huff (pictured above right) was appointed Vice President of Operations Strategy.
